This Red Quinoa has small red-colored grains almost similar to white quinoa, but stays firmer and holds its shape slightly better when cooked. Also have mild, nutty flavor and crunchier texture.
Use as the basis for pilafs, soups and stews, salads, breakfast porridge’s, cereal or dessert. Red quinoa is also used as a thickening agent for soups and casseroles.
Cooking Instruction: Bring 2 cups water a boil. Add 1 cup quinoa, reduce heat to low and simmer for 15 minutes. Drain excess water, cool and use immediately
One cup of dried quinoa yields about 3 cups cooked
