Millet (Proso/Common Millet) is a small, round yellow grain like healthy ancient seed with a mild flavor, high in fiber and easily digestible.
Millet is a tasty alternative to rice. It lends itself to make pilafs, breakfast cereal, breads, soups and stews.
Cooking Instruction: May toast grain prior to cooking. Add 1 cup of millet to 3 cups of liquid, bring to boil, reduce heat and simmer for 40 minutes. Cook uncovered over low heat until desired final texture.
One cup dry yields 3 cups cooked
