To get darker shades you need to prime your hair with Natural Henna before using indigo powder, Or mix with pure henna powder and apply on your hair to dye darker hair tones, healthy red/brown to jet black color.
Henna Combination Formula: For Light Brown Henna Color: Mix 2/3 Natural Henna Powder with 1/3 Indigo powder. For Medium Brown Henna Color: Mix ½ Natural Henna Powder with ½ Indigo Powder. For Dark Brown Henna Color: Mix ½ Natural Henna Powder with 2/3 Indigo Powder.
Suggested recipe to make Henna paste & use it:
Mix in warm water to combination henna powder (may add tea or coffee brews & add a splash of lemon juice) in a bowl until it is the consistency of tooth paste, cover & let it sit at room temperature for 8-12 hours. Apply the paste to a cleaned & dried hair until all the hair is covered with henna paste. Cover hair with plastic wrap for 3-6 hours then rinse henna with warm water until the water runs clear. Henna takes about 24-48 hours to develop the color properly.
