Ginger is the root of a flowering plant. Ginger root powder is less lemony but lends a warm, pungent, spicier flavor than fresh ginger, and is very aromatic and sharp on the tongue. It can withstand high cooking temperatures without compromising the flavor. Can be stored at room temperature, requires less preparation and will keep longer than fresh ginger. Use in baked goods, seasoning mixes or added to savory sauces, curries, chutneys, salad dressings, beverages.
Ginger tea made from ground ginger, stimulate blood circulation, will help prevent the nausea and improve digestion.
To make ginger tea: Put 1/4 to 1/2 tsp ginger root powder in a cup boiling water , steep for 3-5 minutes, add 1tsp honey, drink up to three times daily. Avoid large doses of ginger if you are pregnant
