Indian Cinnamon (Cassia), also known as ‘Dal Chini’, is an aromatic inner bark of an evergreen tree. It has a warm, sweet-spicy flavor and pungent taste.
Indian (Desi) Cinnamon sticks, whole or ground, are used in Indian dishes like curries, rice & meat dishes, confectionary, desserts, rice pudding, sweet pastries and hot drinks.
To grind: break the sticks and grind into a manual or automatic coffee grinder, until powdered.
*Cassia Cinnamon is used as a digestive, carminative and stimulant tonic.
