Kasha is the hulled & toasted seeds of the buckwheat plant, has darker reddish-brown color and more intense, nutty and toasty flavor than raw buckwheat groats.
Cooking Instruction: Wash and rinse, add 1 ¾ cups water/cup of buckwheat, 1 Tbsp butter, salt to taste, bring to boil.
Lower the heat, cover and simmer for 18-20 minutes or until tender and all liquid is absorbed. Fluff with a fork and serve.
