Rye Berries are the whole Rye grain with only the hull removed, and is rich in dietary fiber. When cooked, has distinctive sweet, nutty flavor and a firm, chewy texture.
Rye can be used in salads, soups, stews, breads, pilafs, stuffing, as a hot breakfast cereal, or as a substitute for rice
Cooking Instruction: Add 1 cup Rye Berries to 4 cups water, bring to boil. Reduce to a simmer and cover. Cook for about for 1 hour or until tender. Strain off excess liquid.
One cup dry yields 2 1/2 cups cooked.
